Ballet (Cecchetti) - NURSERY, PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY, GRADE 1
We believe that ballet provides a strong technical foundation, and that performers enrolled in ballet will become stronger, faster! Students will study classical ballet using the checcheti method, where emphasis is placed on proper posture and alignment, correct and safe technique, self-discipline, grace, poise, and a genuine sense of performance. A solid foundation in dance is similar to the ground floor of a building. Remove it and the entire structure would crumble. Putting effort and focus into your foundation will build a strong facility to showcase your art! Please note, students at the Grade 1 level (exam-based) and above are required to take 2 classes per week. Grade 1 students, who do not wish to take exams, can attend the available Open classes.
Modern Theatre Jazz - NURSERY, PRE-PRIMARY, PRIMARY AND GRADE 1
This innovative, high-energy performance discipline combines upbeat movements and rhythms with contemporary music. Emphasis is placed on technical execution while encouraging strength, coordination, flexibility, fluidity, and style! Modern Theatre Jazz explores the many different styles of dance in musical theatre! We look at a variety of choreographers, their styles, and the impact they have had on the world of Musical Theatre. Please note, students at the Grade 1 level (exam-based) and above are required to take 2 classes per week. Grade 1 students, who do not wish to take exams, can attend the available Open classes.
